About the design:

Darling is knit from the top down. The neckline is based on the invisible cast on / provisional cast on, where you cast on two rows at the same time across two needles and scrap yarn. You can find great instruction videos for this technique on Youtube.

Darling has a moderate puff sleeve, which is finished with a long cuff in rib. The sweater is worked in stockinette stitch apart from the center front, where you work a simple lace pattern.

All measurements, especially sleeve and body, are guidelines. Please take the intended recipient into account when choosing size.

The measurements are taken on the piece before use – the sweater will stretch a bit when used.

Chest: Approx. 97 (102) 110 (117) 125 cm. Body, length: Approx. 40 cm.

Suggested yarn:

Snefnug from CaMaRose, 55% Alpaca, 10 % Merino wool, and 35% Cotton, 110 m/50 g. 9 (9) 10 (11) 12 skeins. The sample in the picture is knit in colour Pudder 7386.

Suggested needle size:
Circular needle 40 cm: sizes 3.5 mm, 4.0 mm, 4.5 mm, 5.5 mm for neckline (alternatively dpns)
Circular needle size 5.5 mm: 50, 60, 80 and 100 cm. Circular needle size 4.0 mm, 80 cm for rib on body. Double pointed needles (dpns) for sleeves: Sizes 4.0, 4.5 mm and 5.5 mm.

Gauge:
16 sts x 23 rounds = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch on size 5.5 mm after washing.
